The first post!!

Hi there!

I'm very excited to be starting my own blog! I've been thinking about it for a while - it's been up in the air whether I should or not - and today I finally decided I would just go for it. You only live once and the worst that will happen is a blog with no one reading it. This is something I really want todo and if you're reading this head this advice too and do whatever you want to (within reason of course.)

Now,I'm going to outline what you can expect if you become hooked on this post alone just from my sparkling personality. I will stay anonymous (for the foreseeable future) mostly out of embarrassment but partly because it will be fun to have a bit of a secret, even if only I read this! I will post poetry with some commentary on the inspiration and background, and I hope to write some short stories as well eventually! I won't shy from serious topics (and I hope you won't too) in my poetry and commentary (maybe even without the poetry depending). I will always always put trigger warnings before anything serious is mentioned, they will be right at the top and in bold!

Just because I'm going anon doesn't mean you can't know anything about me! My favourite poet is Edgar Allan Poe because I love gothic style anything! My favourite author is a tricky one, I'll have to say out of the classic ones, Jane Austen and modern has to be Ken Follett! My favourite book has to be either Sense and Sensibility or Jane Eyre!

More personally, I adore cats (although I love dogs too), my favourite colour is pink and I am from the UK!

That just about wraps up the obligatory introductory post, I'll look forward to sharing my poetry and hopefully hearing from some of you!
